They make rosy pictures but don’t even tell you what the product is all about. You should not think of buying that kind of product or course.

B. Asking For Money in The First Hand?

In most cases most of the genuine money making programs are absolutely free to join. For example AdSense, ClickBank, Amazon all are absolutely free to join. You may need resources to make things work, but just to become a publisher of Google AdSense or to become a Clickbank affiliate to promote other peoples product for a commission or to join the freelance networks as a freelancer, you never need to cash out a single penny.

We have nothing against information product sellers. Take it this way, somebody has mastered a money making method and making significant money with the same method. If he decides to write a book about how exactly he is doing the same with every details and sells it in the market, there is absolutely no wrong. Some coaching programs/membership sites may ask you monthly charges to join their program where you get to learn different internet marketing strategies. But when you see a work from home job opportunity asking for money just to register, you must avoid it like plague.

This is considered to be very very important. A seller is supposed to talk good about his product but genuine users will speak the truth. Type program name+review, program name+scam, program name +fraud, program name +complaints etc. in Google and read what others have to say about the program you are thinking to join. You may find some biased reviews which you have to filter out. Go to scam.com and see whether there is any thread about the program.

D. What is their money making model?

This is by far the most important of all. You have to find out the money making model of the program you are likely to join. If they are making money just by the registration fees you and people like you are giving , then  run away from that.

E. Do they have any support desk?

Most of them provide support after you buy their product or service. So getting support should be ensured before you buy.

F. Are they hiding behind the screen?

Especially fakers opt to hide behind the screen. They don’t want you to know about them. They are interested only to sell the crap by any means. So it would be wise to know the person or company you are going to deal with.

G. What about contact details?

A genuine opportunity provider should have no issues in disclosing the contact address. It’s not like, a contact address with a land line no. do not ensure the authenticity because it can easily be faked. You should try to verify the website contact details with the whois details. Check out the social presence (Facebook, twitter, G+,  linked-in) also.

H. Why are you paying?

Ask yourself why should you pay. What value you are going to get which you can not get for free? Is it worth paying at all?

I. Whois data

Go to different domain analysis sites like http://www.whois.net/ and see the domain details and find whether there are differences between the contact address of the site and the whois data. Sometimes the domain may be maintained by some other party, but you still can get some useful information from this.

J. Do they offer money back gurantee?

A strong money back guarantee protects you from getting cheated if you mistakenly buy a product which doesn’t deliver as promised in the sales page. It’s better to buy through PayPal or other reputed payment gateways so that you can get your money back easily. Sometimes, sellers disagree to give your money back in spite of showing a big money back guarantee button, in that case, you can file a dispute in paypal and you will get your money back.

Some buyers take undue advantage of this system of refunding information products. They buy the product, read it, and refund it to get the money back. This is a strict no-no. Don’t ever be a serial refunder.

K. Do they have hidden charges?

You may have experienced that sellers carefully avoid talking about the hidden charges he is going to make just after you join. It would be wise if you can discover the charges you are about to be asked.

L. Do they bug you with an OTO?

OTO stands for One Time Offer. This is a selling strategy and an element of the sales funnel. You may have notices that after you buy a product, seller offers you to buy another related product as an OTO.

Sometimes sellers compile the OTO in such a way that you will feel the information contained inside the OTO should have been in the main product itself. There are sellers who make the main product complete in itself  without requiring you to buy the OTO to make the whole system work.

I am not telling you to avoid products having an OTO. But you can directly ask the seller whether it has an OTO and what it is about before you hit the buy button.

M. How many upsells or downsells are there?

As per the sales strategy, seller will try to upsell or downsell different related products or the advanced version of the same product you already bought. You can have a look at how many upsells or downsells you are going to face just by signing up as an affiliate of the product concerned.

Again I am not at all agains any upsells or downsell but you should deside to buy a product according to your affordability. It is wise to know all these before you end up buying the product.
